My guess: Liverpool and Marsielle will pass, Porto third, and Besiktas last.

Not much commentary, but I say this team will pass to the knockout.

Liverpool impressed last season, and will probably impress this season too. With the new Torres, Babel, Voronin, Dudek, and Benayoun, Liverpool has a very strong midfield, attack, and 2 great goalkeepers.


3. Porto - 1 point

Losses: 0

Porto, with Helton, Lucho Gonzalez, Ricardo Quaresma. Porto have brought in 12 new players, not from really good teams, but if Porto's interested, than you can be quite assured that these players aren't for nothing.


4. Beşiktaş

Group B

My guess: Schalke and Valencia will pass, Chelsea third, and Rosenborg last.

Valencia, probably one of the major competitors for the Spanish title this season, but it won't be easy with Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Not much commentary. Drawed with Chelsea, played pretty well.

3. Chelsea - 1 point

Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea... Well, Chelsea with the new Malouda, but without the Robben isn't looking too good... With Grant, and without Mourinho, Chelsea is going to have a hard season. It's still the beginning of the season, and everything can still happen, but now, Chelsea is not looking good...

4. Schalke 04 - 0 points

Losses: 1

Schalke 04, the team that gave the German Bundesliga to Stuttgart, is looking a bit better this season, but still needs to improve a little.
